The first type hires a bunch of marketers, starts knocking on doors, and sends out salesman to start running numbers. These reps only receive limited training, with the company often expanding too quickly to keep everything in-house.

This, ultimately, forces these companies to bring on a bunch of subcontractors, call them “their guys”, and have them install the products to keep up. That’s exactly how you end up with shoddy installations, sub-par products, and poor customer service.

The second brings with them a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, but little proficiency in customer service or quality assurance.
